If your passport or identity document contains your legal name, you do not need to provide proof of a name change. If your proof of identy document does not contain your current full legal name, you MUST present documentation of any name change(s). This may include a marriage certificate, divorce decree, adoption records, or court order. The MVD uses the full legal names as listed on the document. Documentation submitted for name change(s) must include your previous and current name.
There is a $5.00 fee on all transactions processed at the Motor Vehicle Department in Deming. This is an ordinance, #1249, which was acted on July 14, 2014.
